About Jolie Lambkin, RCC
Counselling Philosophy and Approach
My work blends evidence-based practices with compassion, tailoring therapy to fit your story and goals. Along with my Master’s Degree training, my practicum was at the North Shore CBT centre, where I was trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
But while all my training and experience have been critical and inform my work, truthfully, I have found that nothing is more important than the relational connection I develop with those I counsel. As we work together and build a relationship, I will offer you feedback and ask questions that encourage you to look more deeply. My approach is genuine warmth and interest in you. Although I will contain it, I am often excited to meet with you and look forward to whatever conversation we get to have.
I do not believe that one approach fits all, because every person and connection is unique.
