Counselling Philosophy and Approach
About Jolie Lambkin, RCC
I’m glad you are here.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in North Vancouver, passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and teens through life’s challenges.
I have been married for 26 years and have four children (21 to 14). I’m part of the community of adoptive families.
You can trust me to treat you with respect, kindness and dignity. I’ll care about you, your family and your story.
I look forward to supporting you on your journey, wherever you may currently be.
Jolie
My work blends evidence-based practices with compassion, tailoring therapy to fit your story and goals. Along with my Master’s Degree in Counselling, my practicum was at the North Shore CBT Centre, where I was trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. I have also done extensive marriage and couples training with the Couples Institute, and I have studied Attachment Theory with Vancouver’s own Gordon Neufeld.
And yet, while my training has been critical and informs my work, truthfully, I have found that nothing is more important than the personal connection I develop with those I counsel. As we work together and build a relationship, the therapy practice evolves to suit what is in your best interest. I do not believe that one approach fits all, because every person and every relationship is different.
